An infographic reminding people to protect the garden, or to clean up after their dogs on the oval.

Lesson 1 | Create a Canva account
Learning Intention
Set up an account to access Canva.
Link to Mrs Guest classroom in Canva.
Success Criteria
Student account connected to Mrs Guest Canva Classroom.
Student Account
(You will need your whiteboard and marker)
Go to:
canva.com
by typing it in your address bar.
Click on Sign up (purple box on the right)
Click on Continue with email
Type in your Full Name
Click on Create account
You need to retrieve a code from your email
Open a new window tab by clicking on the + above your address bar.
In the new address bar, type in:
outlook.office.com
Type in your email address and press next.
password: dog
(hopefully you have saved your details)
First bookmark your inbox.
Go to the menu Bookmarks at the top of your screen.
Click on Bookmark this tab
Click Done
Look at the email from Canva in your inbox. Write your code on your white board.
Go back to your Canva tab by clicking on it at the top of your screen.
Type in your code from your whiteboard and press continue.
Save the Canva website as a bookmark just like you saved Outlook.
Link to Mrs Guest Classroom
Go back to your email inbox and there should now be an email from me.
Click on the email.
Click on the link I have sent you.
Type in the code on the screen.
Your account should now be linked to my classroom.

Access Assignment
Login to your email account in Google Chrome using the bookmark you created, or
in the address bar, type in:
outlook.office.com
If you need to type in your email address again, it is:
lablogin@student.education.wa.edu.au
In the top email from Canva, click on the purple link; Start my assignment.
This will take you to today's activity in your Canva account.
It may ask you to login to Canva. Don't forget you will need to get a new code from your email account.
Activity
When you're done, click on Send to Teacher at the top right next to share.
Click on the down arrow next to Teacher and select Michelle Guest.
Press Send
Press on the Home button at the top left of your screen to go home.
In the left menu click the option called Classroom.
Any work submitted can be found in that folder.
Go back into your practice canvas and rename it.
Do this by clicking into the title box at the top right of your canvas. Rename it to, namepractice.
Lesson 3 and 4 | Create your own infographic

Writing Book | Classroom Wall
From the information you have, choose something you would like to
include in our classroom book to persuade NBPS to use Containers for Change.
Everyone needs to do something different.
Make sure you show it to me before you start your design.
- an interesting fact
- an impact
- a reason for using Containers for Change
- a reason to fundraise
Design Elements
Make sure your design includes:
- Text
- Graphics (images)
- Background
and make sure it:
- has space around each element
- is easy to read
- is not too busy
Begin
Start your design from a template.
Use one of the following words to find a template which relates to your chosen idea.
Recycle
Environment
Ocean
Fundraise
Change the different elements from the template to create your own design.
Make sure everything you include relates to your text.
Try and solve things for yourself, or ask a friend before speaking to me.
Get a friend to check all your spelling before showing it to me.
Wrap Up
When you're done, rename your assignment to:
yourname.poster
click on Send to Teacher at the top right next to share.
Click on the down arrow next to Teacher and select Michelle Guest.
Press Send
Lesson 5 | Create an All About Dad Infographic

Today's Task
Complete the template for your Dad for Father's Day.
Follow along to add and change text and add images.
Early Finishers
See if you can add a background by using, Elements
Search: background
Click on: Graphics
Once your background is added, you will need to resize it to fit the document.
Click on the background, make sure it has a purple box around it.
Right click on your mouse, hover over Layer
Select Send to Back
If you can't see your text properly, you will need to add in a white shape and follow the above steps to move the white shape layer back behind all the text.
Click on the shape, make sure it has a purple box around it.
Right click on your mouse, hover over Layer,
Select Send Backward. You will need to repeat this step until it's as far back as you need.
Wrap Up
When you're done, rename your assignment to:
yourname.dad
click on Send to Teacher at the top right next to share.
Click on the down arrow next to Teacher and select Michelle Guest.
Press Send
